I recently decided to pick up DMC5 for PS5 and I'm replaying all the games before playing 5. I'm trying to play DMC4 on steam and every time I get to a loading screen it stays there for about 2 seconds then crashes. I tried verifying the files thru steam and it didn't fix the problem. The whole deal with the "Nelo Angelo vs. Nero Angelo" translation ended up causing even more confusion when Devil May Cry 4 was still in development and announced to have a protagonist named Nero. 4 would be awesome with actual Dante enemies. Game was designed with Nero in mind, makes sense he’d still be fun even if he’s a lot better in 5, vs Dante who just has to contend with everything not designed for him. Damn I'm still a fan of his short haircut but it's crazy how similar he still looks to DMC4 Nero. I hope modding will be able to get to a point where Nero's DMC4 is recreated in DMC5 instead of just importing the model. DMC4 has the higher skill ceiling for style play. It is definitely the most intricate combat system in the series rivaled by DMC3. DMC5 is a much more casual experience and imo more fun for it, it is the easier game with its floaty gravity, extremely easy enemy step, lack of high level tech.
With how anime and over-the-top DMC is, I was expecting the characters (and art style in general) to be more stylized, insteado of super-realistic lol.
Don't recommend PC, I don't have a gaming PC. PS4 is objectively better because the it's not just a remaster it's a Special Edition, It comes with 3 new characters to play as Lady, Trish and Vergil, It also has Turbo mode (makes the game 20% faster) and Legndary Dark Knight Difficult which Spawns tons more enemies then normal, both of which .
